Look up unknown words not only in the Russian-English dictionary, but also in the English-English dictionary.

Inet Dictionary at Computer Time

I showed the kids how to use the Yandex dictionary while creating a wiki page.

Last Saturday during the optional lesson the kids worked at the wiki site.

Computer Time

There were some problems with creating Google accounts. The kids didn't remember their accounts created at the Summer Camp. We spent a lot of time on this routine. I hope next Saturday there will be no technical problems like that.

Some kids managed to publish their comments to various posts.

The Second Term

A new term begins today. The holiday of the month is Thanksgiving Day.

Autumn School Holidays

There were some problems with Google products because of the change of the Internet provider. That's why we didn't have any possibility to publish anything in the blog.

The kids are free now - free from lessons and activities.

The last day at Access turned to be marvelous - Halloween sketches were terrific.

Halloween

Yesterday we had Halloween party!!! I think that was great! Everybody took part in it! All children were happy and as Andrew said that's the most exciting day!

Writing in Journals

At their optional lessons the kids started a new activity - writing in journals for several minutes. I hope they like it.

Halloween PowerPoint

Several kids have started to create presentations. They downloaded magnificent images and stories. I saw Anya drawing her own picture. I liked it, though unfinished.

Look up the meaning and the spelling of the English words in the Merriam-Webster (American English) Dictionary.

Preparing for Halloween

Hi there, everybody! I just wanna congratulate you on Halloween, the event which is coming up and promise to be the most exciting day in our Access school life. I believe that all children will take part in all activities we can provide them and will be eager to prepare for Halloween.

Optional Lessons

Our second week at the school ended with the Optional lessons on Saturday.

First Lessons of Interactive English

I hope that the kids liked the first lessons of Interactive English very much. They have had the brilliant opportunity to speak English.
In the first lesson "Getting Acquainted" we spoke about fibs and facts in our life. It was really funny. "Having eaten snails or grasshopers": can it be true?!
In the second lesson (devoted to Homecoming) the kids read the definitions and matched them with the words, like "pep rally".
They watched Michael's photos of his Homecoming.
Almost everybody tried to speak English. Nobody kept silent.
At the end of each lesson we played the ball game on the learnt vocabulary.
